Jordan national team player Mahmoud Al-Mardi has revealed the strict side of former coach Hussein Amouta's personality. Al-Mardi spoke about Amouta's firm and unambiguous approach with players inside the dressing room.
Mahmoud Al-Mardi said: "Captain Amouta is one of those people who can be very harsh on the player inside the dressing room..." The player added that Moroccan coaches, including Amouta, have greater technical realism in analyzing available resources and working on players' strengths and weaknesses.
These comments come as the national team faces significant challenges, sitting fourth in World Cup qualifying with zero points after three games. The team has also suffered five consecutive defeats in its last five matches, most recently a 1-3 loss to Argentina at the end of June.
